Cyclone Freddy has been sweeping through Blantyre, most of Malawi and Mozambique. Homes and lives have been devastated. We are not sure the full impact but will post more as we find out. Please be praying for everyone in this area!! The home falling to pieces is in one of our ministry areas and is only one of many.

Good morning! As I sit pondering the year I can’t help but thank God for his abundant provision. We were able to put a well in beside Future City Church. God provided it in record time. This was needed after someone poisoned our other well. Many in the village got very sick and one child died from this horrible act. Within a weekend a new well was built and made secure so this wouldn’t happen again. We take for granted being able to get fresh water from our kitchen sink. Many don’t have that luxery and have to walk a long way to get water. Thank you for all your support and prayers to make this happen!!

Greetings family and friends!!! So sorry to have been so long without an update. We have no internet and have been trying to figure it out. Data on our phones is very expensive as well as calling.
We have had an amazing trip and have seen the hand of God in an amazing way!!! Today we held a women’s conference. It was awesome! We shared the word of God with them.
The school is flourishing!!! I am learning that Violet, Biziwick’s wife, is not only teaching children but also men and women to read and write. Something that is not a skill by all. Her heart is so for her people!! She blows me away and is a perfect example of Proverbs 31 woman. Her village looks up to and respects her. She is a very hard worker.
Sunday we will have our celebration at Future City Baptist Church. Words can not describe what my eyes saw when I arrived to see it. They have worked long and hard to build a house of God!! We have a whole cow and tons of food to feed the village and many visitors. We are expecting hundreds and hundreds of people. Please be praying for this event and for my words as I speak.
Greetings everyone!! So the bus has been completed and the children went on a field trip in it as well! Included here are pictures of the children on the bus once all repairs and modifications were done. A picture of the children at lunch is included. We currently have about 125 school children and we feed them lunch Monday though Thursday. We also provide wanderers a meal from the school left overs. There is also a picture of adults, those are our dedicated, amazing teachers!!
The name of the bus, mayamiko, means Praises!! You will also see Violets information on the side of the bus. This is how they prove ownership. She is the developer and overseer of the school and Biziwick’s wife. God is soooo amazing and blowing us away!!
I will be planning a trip to go over in early May! We would like to finish Future City Church before we head over. This project has been in the works for a little over a year now. If you would like to support our mission please contact us or donate though this website.
Blessings and Love!!
My how time flies! I didn’t realize how long it has been since I posted. Since my last post we have remodeled our kitchen, William Bruce, my baby, graduated from high school, he relocated to Athens and got a new job, and I entered into a new job. Can you say whirlwind! But all is wonderful! We are blessed beyond measure!
About a month ago Violet sent me a request for a bus she found that she wanted to buy for the school children. It could also be used to make money when not in use for the school. I told her we would need to be praying about it. A few days later Biziwick texted me a worrisome text asking me to tell Violet to take some water. She had been in their quiet room fasting and praying since the day before concerning the bus. She had not had food or water and was very weak. I told him she has set her face her face like flint before our Father and I can not interfere with that. That evening she came out of the room and ate. Fast forward a couple of weeks to Friday Aug.26th…I get a phone call from a very dear friend asking if I have time to meet up with her over that weekend. Of course I would drop everything for her. She proceeds to tell me that her and her husband wanted to make a donation to FWM. I thank her and tell her that would be great! She then tells me they want to donate $10,000!!!!!!!! We both are in tears at this point. She wants to donate it in Honor of William Bruce Goodwin (my son) and Eion Madden, who are a couple of Seth Jones best friends, and in memory of Seth Jones! I am speechless!!
I had forgotten about the bus, because I laid it at His feet and left it. In that moment on the phone I asked the Lord what I was supposed to do with that much money?? He said very clearly, “THE BUS!” The rest of the day is a blur. I was in shock! I called my husband and told him in tears, “Baby!!! GOD JUST BOUGHT THOSE BABIES A BUS!!!!!!!!!!” He said here! NO PROBLEM!! “All things are possible with GOD!!” Below are pictures of the sellers and Biziwick and Violet buying the bus. This money covered the $6500 for the bus, repairs, maintenance, new tires, seats recovered, painting, fixing the ceiling, insurance, money for a driver…EVERYTHING!!
The next set of pictures is of the bus during transformation!! Amazing!! I am humbled beyond words! Thank you so much to my sweet friends (who choose to remain anonymous) for this more than generous donation! This is a life changer for so many. Everyone who gets on that bus will feel the love of Jesus and know they have been in His presence! And I thank God for His provision that leaves us speechless!!!
SETH JONES…YOU will never be forgotten!! We will see you again one day soon!! We know that where you are…in the presence of THE ALMIGHTY… is such a sweet sweet place and we can’t wait to join you!! Until then, we will continue to run our races with perseverance. “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Phil 1:21. It’s a win win dear friend and we give HIM ALL THE GLORY!! We love you and miss you!!!
Good morning! I want to update you on where we are with the church. The building itself is up!! Much more is needed such as doors, windows, plaster, paint, and much more. But the structure and roof are together and they are holding Sunday worship there. We have already had the opportunity to love on and minister through so many in that area. Even those who go to other churches in the area. It’s a beautiful thing!! It’s God at work.
The chief of the village, who attends another denomination church in the area, came to Biziwick demanding some compensation. He was telling authorities that we bought the land and built the church with out consulting with him and he was requesting money from us. Which was a lie because we received his blessing and on our last trip gave him a bible and tie. We soon came to find out jealously had reared its ugly head! Biziwick, Violet, and the church members (including all the children) went to the Chiefs home to see what it was he was asking for. Biziwick said even the children were steadfast and did not scare when approaching the chief. The chief shamefully admitted that he was jealous because his church was not as big as ours and asked for forgiveness. We immediately granted forgiveness and also blessed him with some food money. Biziwick let him know that God is the same BIG for all of us!! And that we are all on the same team!! Hearts displayed for Jesus!!
Here are some latest pictures of the church at this point. There are still many needs and food is always a great need. I know for some it may not make sense to help so far away but what’s a soul for Jesus if it’s next door or half a world away?? Love looks like something!! When we meet a need they meet Jesus!!
Love and Blessings!!!!
I am so proud and amazed to announce that Northway kids raised $3100 toward the building of our church in Blantyre, Malawi! These children worked so hard at doing this and I am proud of each and every one of them!!
And the building has begun!! We have bought most of the supplies but there are still things we need! If you would like to donate please go to our donate tab and use paypal or you can mail it to us. Below are pictures of the construction. The children come everyday after school to help transport bricks to the site. The men made the bricks that are up so far. We will need to buy more to complete the building. Everyone in the community is very involved with building their Future City Church!!

So thankful to Joanna Hardy for all her hard work on this project!!!!
